More About Me

I have background in English and law and policy with a JD from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. My areas of interest include: feminist research, Black Feminist studies, and digital media studies. In all the work that I do, I apply a lens of intersectionality, gender studies, social media studies, critical race feminism, and social justice. My dissertation is entitled: Black Feminist Thought, Interrupted - Dissecting the Voice of Black Feminists in the Blogosphere and their Engagement with Platform Affordances.

What’s my comfort language: You can catch me in my down time with a great cup of tea or glass of wine…either curled up with a great book or binging Netflix… or finding quiet moments near the ocean with ear buds and great music!!!

Who am I: I am a constantly evolving, Black Feminist, Scholar, small town born-and raised, married…resilient...Black Woman!!!!

Pronouns: She, Her, Hers
